American Opportunity Tax Credit

I was in a five-year undergraduate program and I completed the program last year in May 2016. I claimed AOTC only once before in 2015. Am I eligible to apply for the tax credit in 2016? Thanks

American Opportunity Tax Credit

For the American opportunity tax credit, an eligible student is a student who has not completed the first four years of post-secondary education as of the beginning of the taxable year.

You may qualify for the Lifetime Learning Credit.

Thanks for answering my question. Actually I called TurboTax earlier and I was told that I am eligible for this credit since I didn't get my degree until May 2016. So I am confused here. Can you advise? Thanks
