I ask: Where on the federal return does one find the deduction information?
TT says: Enter the amount that applies to the time you were an IL resident or to your activities in IL.
I say: I was not an IL resident during this tax year but did work in the state.

The IL program generally gives you the federal amount and asks for the IL portion. You will need to review your Federal return, See How do I preview my TurboTax Online return before filing? to see both federal and state. Adjustments can be found on Schedule 1, part II. IL should ask you about them in the program. Deductions: sched A unless you took the standard deduction, see 1040 line 12.
