1099R
My 1099R has gross distribution amount, same amount as taxable, 2b taxable amount not determined and a total distribution. Box 7 code 2 IRA/SEP/SIMPLE. Turbo Tax is calculating tax on the 5500. It did not do this last year.

Code 2 in box 7 of a 1099-R means you have an early distribution. For one, you will have to pay the early distribution 10% penalty. Whatever additional tax you pay will depend on your cost basis in the account.

The code 2 on this 2019 Form 1099-R (which means that the distribution is not subject to an early-distribution penalty) suggests that you performed a Roth conversion in 2019. Roth conversions are taxable unless you have basis in nondeductible traditional IRA contributions that equal or exceed the amount in your traditional IRAs.
Perhaps you made a nondeductible contribution for 2018, converted it to Roth in 2019 and mistakenly reported the Roth conversion on your 2018 tax return. If so, you'll need to amend and correct your 2018 tax return.
