1099-R mailed 4/1/2024 with Dist Code G

I filed my taxes in February and today received 1099-R but two months after my taxes already filed. Box 2a shows $0 taxable and Box #7 Distribution Code G. Frustrating they mailed this so late. Do I need to file amended taxes?

No. Code G is a direct transfer and not taxable. Be sure to keep the 1099R with your tax return if the IRS ever asks about it.

Tax return IRS states it was returned. I’d like to know why it was not supposed to be mailed out.
