I imported the Form 8949 data from the 1099-B at my broker which is quite large at 899 lines, and started to edit the areas where Yes was indicated, but now realize that I need to redo some of that. Is there a way to delete what was downloaded and re-download? Thank you...
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
You may be able to delete the form 8949 as follows:
1. Find the Tax Tools option on your left menu bar and click on it
2. Click on Tools
3. Find Delete a Form and click on it
4. Look for form 8949 in the list of forms and click on the option to delete it
I NEED TO UPOAD FORM 8949 RATHER THAN TO DELETE IT. WHEE DO I FIND THE PREMIER EDITION TO DO THIS. PLEASE DON'T TELL ME TO DELETE A FORM! IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE.
TurboTAx will automatically generate IRS form 8949 when you report a sale or disposition of assets.

ThomasM125's advice above is correct for the question asked.
Rather than try to edit a large form 8949, the 8949 was to be deleted so that 1099-B broker information can be downloaded a second time into an empty form 8949.
