When entering the marketplace policy number, Turbotax asks for the last 15 digits. Got multiple 1095-A's, but 2 of them have the same last 15 digits. They're from different policy issuers, cover different months and have different beginning digits, but the last 15 are the same. When running smart check, getting error message: Policy Number is a duplicate Marketplace policy number. How should I proceed? Just ignore and move to next section?
Thanks!

Since the numbers can’t be changed, just double-check them again and move on.
It’s possible that the IRS might reject your return on the basis of the same numbers – what are the odds two different policies would have the same last 15 digits, after all? – and, in that case, you’d have to file a paper return.
The policy numbers are critical requirements to Part IV of Form 8962, so they do need to be entered.
Can you enter both forms as one?
If the months are not duplicated, enter the information from both forms into one screen.
Yes, but keep all this information carefully documented and included in your tax records for this year just in case if the the IRS inquires about the discrepancy. This way you have documented proof that the information was reported correctly.

Tried moving on and completed the rest of the return. But, right before e-filing, it asks me to check the entry again. It seems it won't let me move past this until I enter a different policy number. Instead of the last 15 digits, can I just enter the first 15?
Thanks

Thanks for the reply.
To clarify, I have three 1095As:
#1 Blue Shield – January
#2 Blue Shield – February
#3 Healthnet – March thru December
The problem is that #1 and #3 have the same last 15 digits. Turbotax thinks they’re duplicates and wouldn’t let me move on. Since #1 and #2 are from the same issuer, is it ok to combine the months into the same policy number. That is, can I disregard one of the policy numbers so long as the months are accounted for?
Thanks!
