My husband is Military. Previously we claimed Ohio as home state. However, I worked in NC. Do I have to file under NC or Ohio for state taxes?

You have to file a personal return for wherever you received income. If you received income from both Ohio and NC, then you need to file returns for both. If you recieved income only in NC, then only file NC. See here for more details: https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1900021-when-would-i-have-to-file-returns-in-more-than-one-state

You need to make it clear as to whether your husband was actually posted in NC during 2016.

IF so,  and if you are claiming and retaining OH as your own state of legal residence under MSRRA Regulations, then you do not have to pay NC taxes for a  W-2 job while in  NC.  But whether you have to file in NC or not depends on whether you filled out the proper forms with the employer to NOT have any NC taxes withheld on your NC pay.

But if you were not posted in NC, but worked in NC, then you do have to file a nonresident NC tax return for that income.
