Because amended returns cannot be e-filed, they must be mailed.  The IRS or State do not accepted amended returns by e-file.

Your welcome!  Your amended return for Federal will take up to 3 weeks after you mailed it to show up on the IRS system.  You can check the status of your amended return at the following website:
