1. Open your Indiana state return.
2. Continue through your return until you get to the screen, Take a look at Indiana credits and taxes.
3. Scroll down to Indiana 529 Education Savings Plan Credit, and click Start.
4. Answer yes on the page, Do you have a 529 Education Plan?
5. Answer yes on the page, Any contributions?
6. Enter the information on the page 529 Education Plan Contributions. If you do not own the account, you can mark so on this page. Per the Indiana Department of Revenue, The contributor does not have to be the owner of the account to be eligible to claim the credit.
7. Continue through your return.
