What Is The Missouri Withholding Number?

Working on estimating taxes for 2025 to avoid underpayment penalties. I'm confused as to where it's pulling the number for the 2024 Actual Missouri Withholding, and if/what I should enter for the 2025 expected. Where is it pulling the number from for 2024, and what should I put for 2025?

I don't really have a great way to estimate 2025 taxes as I will be getting a second job and can only give a very rough estimate of how much I might make. My self-employed income varies, but I can probably get that in the general ballpark. The 2025 expected income number should be the total income I expect to receive from both jobs and the self-employed, correct?

What Is The Missouri Withholding Number?

Missouri has six ways you can calculate your Estimated Tax for 2025.  One way is to use 100% of your 2024 Tax Amount, divide by four, and use that amount for quarterly Estimated Taxes. So you can enter the same amount for 2025 MO Withholding as shown for 2024 on this screen.

If you're using TurboTax Desktop, on the MO Form 1040-ES Worksheet, you can see the the various options.  The amount of 2024 tax on Line 1 of this form came from the MO Form 1040, Line 33.

For TurboTax Online, you'll be able to view or print your forms after you've paid for your return.

Here's more info from Missouri Dept. of Revenue on figuring Estimated Tax and also a Missouri Income Tax Calculator.
