Toward the end of the instruction screens for e-filing of the Virginia return, there is an implication that there is a paper form that must be signed, and instructions will be provided after the e-file procedure has been completed, but no such instructions are given. Is there a requirement for submission of physical signatures, Forms W-2 and 1099, or any other paper forms if the Virginia return is e=filed?

I checked the information on the Virginia Tax website as well as the instructions for the Virginia Individual Income Tax Return. There was no indication that anything would need to be mailed if the return is electronically filed.
If there was something that required a form to be mailed, TurboTax would print that form and give you specific instructions about what to send and where to send it. If there was nothing printed with your return that says it needs to be mailed to Virginia, then you should be fine with only the electronic filing.

Thanks! The only form that must be physically signed is one that is to be kept in the taxpayer's records.
