Unable to eFile CA Return Due to Error After Switching from MFJ to MFS

I was initially able to e-file both federal and California (CA) tax returns when filing as Married Filing Jointly (MFJ). Later, I decided to file separately (MFS) and split the same set of income forms into two separate TurboTax applications.

However, when attempting to e-file one of the CA state returns, I received the following error message:

"Unable to eFile: The return has withholding from a source other than Forms W2, W2G, 1099R, 1099G, 1099INT, 1099DIV, 1099B, 1099MISC, 592B, and 593."

The strange thing is that only one of the MFS returns is experiencing this issue, while the other was able to e-file both federal and CA returns without any problem. I did not add any new withholding sources—just split the same income forms between the two filings.

What could be causing this error, and how can I fix it to e-file my CA return?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Please see this link titled Married Filing Separately in community property states for more suggestions.  There is a possibility that you may not be able to e-file the second return.
