Looks like there is a bug with TurboTax Business 2021 (desktop, downloaded, Windows) with the California Form 565 (for a General Partnership).
It won't let me electronically file it, because, "Error: Form 565, p1-3, Question G: Total assets at end of year must be entered for electronic filing."
The first problem is I'm not required to to enter total end of year assets. My partnership meets all the requirements shown in the instructions for Question P and I have opted to not optionally complete too.
The second problem is that TurboTax Business will not let me enter a value into the field ("Additional Information for Scanband Smart Worksheet, Field G") that it is complaining about. I go to Forms mode, but the field that's highlighted red is disabled, because it's linked to a schedule. So, let's go to there to enter a zero or something, right?
It's linked to "Schedule L — Balance Sheets" on California "Form 565, p4-5." I can enter in some values in this form, which makes a total, and enters it into the parent field that has the error. But now Schedule L errors, because I'm not supposed to enter anything in there (which is correct)!
So, I'm stuck in a loop. A field requires a value from a schedule, the schedule won't let me fill it out, because I'm not supposed to.
I spent an hour on a call with a TurboTax representative, I shared my desktop with them and walked them through the problem. They agreed it looked like a bug and escalated me to a "Tier 2 representative," but when the call got put through, I was connected with a general CPA who said they don't provide any support to TurboTax Business. I explained that I was trying to report a software bug, and this person said they tried to talk to their supervisor to find why I was routed to the wrong place, but it went nowhere. They said "Is your expectation that we'll fix this bug?" and then laughed at me. The case was marked as resolved and closed.
If anyone from Turbotax reads this and cares about bug reports, see above.

I'm having the exact same issue.
I spoke with tech support and she had me right-click on the field for G and click Override. It worked. I was able to e-file my California business taxes.
