TurboTax Premier 2024 for Windows Alabama Form 40NR Schedule RS does not apply the $6,000 exclusion to taxable retirement income. Thus inflating taxable income by $6,000. Thus leading to incorrect (prorated) itemized deductions.

Once you're logged in to your account,
- on the left hand panel, click on Tax Tools and then choose Tools
- on the pop up window, select Share my file with Agent
- you'll see a message saying you'll give us a copy of your tax return. Your personal information will be changed so we can't see any private information.
- click okay and you'll get another message with a token

Thank you for sending your token. I've looked over your return, specifically the Alabama Schedule RS.
None of your retirement income is currently shown as taxable to Alabama. TurboTax isn't calculating an exclusion on Schedule RS because all of the income is already being excluded from Alabama tax.
