I am in the last steps of e-filing -- I get the message "turbo tax must save your return before continuing" so I click on the continue -- it saves then takes me to a screen that says "your payment didn't go through select continue to try again" I try to hit "continue but nothing ever happens. I get no other message it just sits there.
Please advise.

To clarify, are you receiving the error message before entering your payment information?
yes, I owe state taxes this year so it is after I put in the bank info for that -- this is presumably to enter information for the $25 fee being charged to e-file California State taxes. I tried again this morning thinking if I did it during normal banking hours it might work, but it still did not.
You may need to perform a manual update for TurboTax.
