My daughter lived in Virginia for 12 months in 2019. She changed her address with her Employer in June when she planned to move to Maryland to live with a friend. Plans changed & she never moved. She also forgot to advise her employer to correct her address. State taxes were withheld by both Virginia & Maryland. Her employer will not change the W-2. Is there a simple fix for this or must she file in both States? Thank you!

She will need to file in both states. Virginia and Maryland are reciprocal states, but that does not help your daughter get her money back from Maryland. She will need to enter the Maryland details in TurboTax and then enter the Virginia details.
