State tax return - Illinois and Michigan

I was an international student during last year. I had income working in Illinois but previously I was living in Michigan. I just realized that I messed up my federal taxes using turbotax to fill out  form 1040 EZ instead of 1040NR-EZ, since I am a nonresident alien. I am correcting that. I also did my state taxes using turbotax, do I need to correct them?

State tax return - Illinois and Michigan

No, as long as you correctly reported your income on each state return, following the appropriate residency and income rules in each state, you would not need to amend them - the issue is that as a nonresident alien for U.S. federal tax purposes, as you indicated, you should have file your federal return on either 1040NR or 1040NR-EZ, neither of which TurboTax supports.
