Software will not let me efile state taxes

I efiled my federal return a couple of weeks ago but did not file the state return at that time as I want to check a few things since I owed the State of Ohio money. I completed the checks and went to file today and the software will not let me file the state taxes. It says I need to file the federal taxes which are shown as filed on the screen. How do I resolve this problem?
