Hi There,
In early 2021, I became a remote employee and state taxes withheld in Arizona and Oregon for both halves the year, my main residence is in Oregon (became a resident in late 2020). In order to pay our state income tax for OR, how do I continue to fill out the state forms for both states.
I am lost in what to do!

Just to confirm- you were an Oregon resident for all of 2021 who worked remotely in Oregon for part of the year and Arizona for part of the year?
Normally you file your nonresident state first, but Arizona is a reverse credit state with Oregon which means you want to file your Oregon resident tax return first.
Next you would file a nonresident return for Arizona. You will get a credit for the taxes paid to Oregon on the same income.
It sounds like you are owing Oregon but you should get most (if not all) of the Arizona withholding back.
Yes, changed my address with my company mid way threw the year, but was an OR resident the entire time and working remotely.
How would I go about filing my Oregon resident tax first in the TurboTax portal?
Thank you!
If you are using TurboTax Online, you would fill out your Oregon resident tax return first by following the steps below:
If you are using TurboTax Desktop, you would fill out your Oregon resident tax return first by following the steps below:
