How do I stop TT from installing states I don't use? I only need Vermont, but I'm getting updates for New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

You can remove the state files from your TurboTax program and this will stop TurboTax from getting updates for those states.

To do this:

Make sure TurboTax is not open.
Open Windows Explorer.
Go to the Forms folder in TurboTax: C:\Program Files (x86)\TurboTax\Deluxe 2018\Forms
Delete these two folders:

TurboTax will no longer get updates for these states.

**Say "Thanks" by clicking the thumb icon in a post
**Mark the post that answers your question by clicking on "Mark as Best Answer"

Tried this solution multiple times for several years and the states always come back...
