Why is my CA tax return asking for 3804-CR?

TAXABLE YEAR. CALIFORNIA FORM. Pass-Through Entity Elective Tax Credit. 2021. 3804-CR. If this does not apply you will have to delete the state tax form. 

To delete in desktop click here.

To delete in TurboTax Online open your return and click pick up where I left off and continue. the return should now open and have a left hand menu with Tax Tools>Tools>Delete a form>Delete a state form CR-3804, confirm. And review your state return again for errors.

 I do not have any reason for this to be in my tax return neither of us have a business. Please tell me how to get rid of this

The answer is not an answer. The question is not how do we fill it out . . . The question is WHY is TT having us fill out this form when we are not a member of a pass through organization or partnership. Not an entity taxed as a partnership. TT was giving this file to everyone
[EDIT]  The last update seems to have fixed it but as others have said, deleting it was also an option though not many people are comfortable doing that unless they are told to do so.

Couldn't agree more. Why are individuals tax returns being held up (if they don''t have a business). RIdiculous!

Perhaps.  You'll need to delete this form 3804-CR.  You can use the steps and also click the link for more information.

• If you're using TurboTax Online software and need to delete a form, click here.
  1. Sign in to TurboTax and open your return by selecting Continue or Pick up where you left off
  2. In the left menu, select Tax Tools and then Tools
  3. In the pop-up window Tool Center, choose Delete a form
  4. Select Delete next to the form, schedule, and worksheet in the list and follow the instructions
