Utah retirement tax credits

TurboTax is calculating the retirement tax credits correctly at this time. Go into forms mode and check the Utah return for the "RETIRE CRD WKS" which should show that you are at least eligible for the Code AJ Military Credit if your 1099-R says Military Retired Pay on it.. If you are drawing Social Security you might be eligible for the AH credit as well. Now if you are 70 or older, you might be eligible for the Retirement Tax credit (Code 18) and the WKS above should show you which of the options is best for you. When you print and check your return, you should find at least one of the codes on the TC-40A Part 3.
