TurboTax 2021 Deluxe (Desktop) Software Error

My Federal e-File return was accepted; however, my IL state e-File return was rejected due to what I believe is a software error. The description of error reads, "FormIL 1040 Step 3 Line 5 federally taxed portion of Social Security and certain retirement income must be supported by transmitting a U.S. 1040 with the electronic return."

TurboTax is failing to provide the required page 1 of my U.S. 1040 when transmitting my state return to IL. To the best of my knowledge, there isn't an option for a user to add a document to transmit to a state.

I believe this is a programming error that needs to be addressed by Intuit. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

yes page 1 of federal 1040 is required.   others have reported a similar problem with their state return - not only Illinois.  is it a TT bug or an IRS bug. don't know
