Please disregard this question. Although the input from form K-1 did not recognize the tax addback code, I found another place to enter the information. Sorry to have bothered anyone.
In the IN return, as you go through the program, in the income and deductions section, is the tax addback. The addback encompasses information on schedules C, E, and F which include:
Since you have been through the state program, please follow these steps:
The tax addback goes to line 1 of sch 1. For more about the tax addback, see IT-40 Booklet page 12.
I'm having the same issue. Where did you find the answer?
Where were you able to find this information to enter it elsewhere? I've tried the route they recommended and it still requires me to fix it and takes me back to the same drop down menu where 149 is not listed.

I just went back through the steps of inputting all the information. When it asks did you pay State Franchise or Business Tax, say yes, even though you didn't . Then the program will give you the chance to type in the tax addback number, which it recognizes. Double-check your forms. It should now show the addback amount on Schedule 1 of your state return. When you run the check for errors, the program will still show that missing addback number on the K-1 as an error. No way to fix that. Just ignore it, as that K-1 is not filed with your tax return. As long as the amount shows on the pages you file as being added back in, I think you should be OK.
Definitely a glitch in the program.
Thank you so much for your time and attention to this. I followed the steps as you stated. It still states that I need to fix this on the Indiana state tax form and if unable to fix this, it will return to this screen, and I will need to print the return by selecting File By Mail. So apparently I will need to mail these and not efile since there is not a drop down option code 149.
Reply to AmyC : Thank you for your help. This process did get the tax add back onto the form. However, it does kick back an error when the program runs through the error check. The program wants to generate a state form K-1, which does not allow for add back number 149. It puts you into an endless loop unless you ignore the error and print the forms to mail.
