If the state is asking for documents of my step daughters social sec number and birth certificate and letter from school how do I down load that in turbo taxes?  I don't want to be waiting for my tax refund and get a letter from the IRS stating they want me to send in the information.  I would like to do provide this information from the start?

If I were you, I would mail copies of those documents separately from my tax return (and be sure to keep copies for yourself).

If I were you, I would mail copies of those documents separately from my tax return (and be sure to keep copies for yourself). Go ahead and send in your tax returns and then go ahead and send the documents to the state.

You can't obtain those documents from Turbotax, and you can't attach them to a tax return in Turbotax.

If you already filed, and the state is asking for this documentation, mail it to the address specified in the letter you received asking for the documents.  If you have not filed yet, and were requested to provide documents when you filed, follow the instructions in the letter you received asking for supporting documents.
