I missed the deadline to mail my state taxes. I amended my taxes online to include my children. Can I now mail in my state taxes after I amended to include my children even though my federal return did not include my children?

First if you never filed an original state return then do not mail in an amended form as it will be rejected. And some state's require you to mail in a copy of the federal return with the state so if things don't match that may get the return rejected as well.
