KEEPS SENDING ME BACK TO THIS DEDUCTION: I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO CHANGE OR WHY IT IS ENTERED. I HAVE GONE BACK TO DEDS SEVERAL TIMES. HELP!! WON'T LET ME FILE SAYS THERE IS SOMETHING IN THERE.

Yes, you can resolve that error, by deleting the Educator Expenses Worksheet. This may be a form that carried forward from a prior year.

If you are using TurboTax Online:

1. Open your return, scroll down to Tax Tools on the bottom of the left side menu.
2. Select Tools.
3. Click on Delete a form (third on the list at the bottom of the screen).
4. Find Educator Expenses Worksheet on the list of forms.
5. Click Delete to the right.
6. Confirm your Delete.
7. Scroll down and check for an Educator Expenses Worksheet under your state return. 
8. Click Delete to the right.
9. Confirm your Delete.

If this doesn't resolve the issue, please respond back and let us know which state you are filing, so we can look into this further.

I'm having the same problem. I did not enter any educator expenses on either my federal or state return, yet I keep getting an Educator Smart Wks Ln B-SP error message. In addition there is no form related to educator expenses listed under either my federal or state return. I'm located in Virginia.

also having the same issue it says their shouldn't be a value placed but when I go to remove whatever value they say is listed. It's actually blank so unsure how to resolve and its the only thing keeping me from filing.

I found the site, but the Educator Expenses Worksheet was not listed. I am filing in Virginia.

I am having the exact same problem. The form is nowhere to be found to delete. I live in VA as well.

Even weirder is when I go into the forms to try and delete the applicable form there is none. It doesn't exist in either the federal or state return. I used to work as a professional tax preparer so I know what I'm doing. But I can't delete what isn't there to delete.

This is happening to me too and I’m in the tools section and deleted the form but then it’s still there and won’t go away no matter how many times I click delete. Filing for Va. this is annoying.

I am having the same issue - also in Virginia. When I went to the forms, it was not even on there to delete. Maybe just a glitch? Hopefully they fix it soon.

I am filing Virginia. I do not see the Educator Smrt form as an option to delete, but I cannot finish my taxes as it says there is an error on the form? Why is the form there to begin with? Please help.

That does not resolve it. I did not fill out an educator form, and there is no educator form listed for me to delete.
