new york state tax return

Turbo tax says I have to file a New York state tax .  I am not a NY resident and don't have income from NY.  Why am I getting this message?

Did you have any New York State, New York City, or Yonkers income taxes withheld from your pay?

but no I had no NY state or local tax issues.  I am retired and have no income from within the state of New York.   Something is triggering NY in my turbo tax return I assume but I can't find it

Where in TurboTax are you seeing a message that you must file a NYS return? Does it give you any further information on the screen?

The problem has gone away.  Logged back up, ran an update, and then deleted several entries that were carried over from 2019 that I didn't use this year (RMD accounts) and was able to file my taxes.  Not sure what cleared up the problem
