I filed my federal taxes and received a refund prior to the TurboTax program update for the $10200 UC exclusion. Do I need to file and amended return, or will the IRS do it for me?
No, you do not need to amend. The IRS will directly send you a refund.
Per IRS, if you have already filed, you do not need to file or amend unless the calculations make you newly eligible for additional federal credits and deductions not already included on the original tax return.
