I've done my Fed return, thought I completed my state becuz I went thru the entire process and reviewed & it says everything's fine & I'm ready to efile. However, I wanted to look at the forms before I efiled. The Fed looks ok but the state has only one form attached & completed. The main form like the 1040 is not there at all. The only form there is Sch D & it has No Name listed in the field at the top. I looked thru the worksheet & nothing is filled out except the info for the Sch D, something that was partially filled out and was wrong was the interest income. It was way off & still no form attachment for it. I've never had this happen before. What can I do?

It may have corrected itself, not sure yet. I closed it out & was going to reopen & try updating but when it opened back up, the amt of tax had changed from $0 to $887, so it may have input some data but I checked one form & there's a place to input DL & other info that I'll try to go back thru the step by step & see what happens.
Closing out my program & then opening it again did solve the problem. It does bother me though that TurboTax went thru everything & told me it was ready to file my taxes, there were no errors, etc. But I checked the forms first & noticed that the State had only one Schedule done. The main tax form for the state was not completed at all. And it showed 0 tax due wh/ is what it was last yr so that didn't surprise me. But when it actually completed the forms & made the computations, we ended up owing the state. I don't know what would have happened if I had let it efile when it originally wanted to but it wouldn't have been good for us.
I am sorry for the frustration. As the forms keep updating and we are testing, we do prevent people from filing.
The state and federal governments approve the most common forms first and work their way down the list. Please see the links for form availability. Once a date shows up, the reality should be close. Once released, Turbo Tax will work quickly to get it working in the program.
Always print a copy of your completed tax return for your records, and review it carefully before e-Filing.
You will need it if you are audited by the IRS, or to amend because a TurboTax update changes your return.
