You are working in Ohio. It doesn't matter where your employer is located. You will pay Ohio tax on all your income. If you are an employee (you get a W-2), not a contractor, your employer should withhold Ohio tax and not Utah tax. If they do not withhold Ohio tax you will have to make quarterly estimated tax payments to Ohio.
There are a few states that treat remote workers as if they were working in the state, but Utah is not one of them.
If you sometimes go to Utah, even for a short time, you will have to pay Utah tax on the income that you earn for working in Utah. Since you live in Ohio, all your income is subject to Ohio tax, no matter where the income is from. You will get a credit on your Ohio tax return for part or all of the tax that you pay to Utah.
Thanks for the info!!
