No luck here, I got an update on the desktop software but same issue still persists. I received an email from TT saying it was resolved but CLEARLY it is not. They still have not resolved the issue and I can not e-file the WV state return. I am going to have to contact support again it looks like. TT has been non-existent in these threads, I already talked to support before and wasted several hours and same issue. This is a software issue that the developers need to fix is what the representative told me and they have NOT fixed it yet. They claimed it was being fixed in the 3/19 update. But, it was NOT. So it is still pending developers fixing the issue both online and desktop software it seems.
yeah, i was told it would work on the 19th as well.
There have been several changes that have happened during the actual tax season this year. It has created a lot of differences with how items are reported for your federal return versus your state returns. Many states conform to the federal changes but others do not. Initially, the changes dealt with the treatment and taxation of retirement distributions due to Covid-19 relief.
However, the latest changes involve unemployment income. The latest release under the American Rescue Plan allows for the first $10,200 of unemployment income to be exempt from taxation for federal purposes.

The updates have been made for the federal returns using the online program. The updates are being implemented for the desktop software. The updates are currently being implemented for all of the state regardless of whether you are using the online or desktop program.
I recommend signing up for updates using the link below to be notified.

How will the 3rd stimulus affect me
Any update at all on this? Very frustrating and unacceptable.
Nope. Still can't file state either. I did file federal so now it's the waiting game
Friday miracle - was able to file WV!
WOOOOOOOOOO IT'S A MIRACLE! Finally was able to file WV as well! Let us rejoice! lol
Tried filing still no luck... It's now saying I'm claiming "Paid long term health care insurance premiums" and I am most certainly not, tried starting over and unchecking the box but it continues to check it for me then at the end says it's a problem... Waiting on a "specialist" now...
You could try deleting state form and re-downloading it won't make you pay again if you already did and will save all your info.
Finally got through to someone and found out a long term health care form was filled out and exported for state after finding it and deleting it everything is cleared and FILED!!!
It's telling me I can file but to wait on filing... Give me a break already
Is WV form IT-140 ready for use yet?
Yes, all West Virginia forms are available in the Online system (except for the payment vouchers, which can't be e-filed). See this TurboTax state forms availability list.
