According to the Maine Revenue FAQ, you are a non-resident for the entire year.
It depends on the state. Some states consider residency depending on the number of days you spend in the state. A nonresident, in general, is someone who does not reside in the state at all, and resides in a different state.
Thank you @ColeenD3. I am just not sure if there’s a difference between nonresident and nonresident during the whole year, if I was only for about a month in a state and working what am I: a nonresident or a nonresident during the whole year or is it just the same thing?
To clarify your situation, in what state were you working for a month as a nonresident?

According to the Maine Revenue FAQ, you are a non-resident for the entire year.
Thank you @PattiF , much appreciate taking the time to answer!
Just the fact that I was only a month but they consider me nonresident for the whole year it’s a little confusing. I thought yes I’m nonresident but not during the whole year.
