I would suggest waiting until your return is fully processed before making any additional changes. Filing an amended return before your original return is processed can cause delays. Once the return is fully processed you will have a better idea of what additional steps, if any, you need to take to correct your return.
You will ultimately need to amend your MD return to change your residency and allocate part of your income to Maryland so the tax isn't being calculated on all of your income.
What if I just leave my residency as full-year will it affect me if I don't change it to part-yea?
Yes, because as KeshaH has explained to you. If you report yourself as a fulltime resident in 2024, the State of Maryland will tax you for all your income earned in 2024. By not changing your resident information, you are leaving money on the table instead of in your pocket.
