I've filed for and extension for my federal return but want to file my NJ and MA state return. How do I do that?

TurboTax will not let you e-File states until your federal return is ACCEPTED.

you can print everything and file on paper.

You can't e-file a state return without the Federal. You can mail in both returns. That would be your option.
