You have to work through the questions in the state tax programs, as it can differ depending on what state you are reporting to. Normally, you do the pro-ration based on the amount of money earned while in each state.
I did not fill in a form correctly showing 2 states of residence and now I can't get back to that form. Any suggestions?
The easiest way to do this is to do it through the state programs themselves by clicking on the State tab in the menu on the left. If you have already started the state programs, delete them both by clicking Delete next to the state names, and then add them back.
Start with the Non-resident state first.
If you just need to indicate the states in which you lived or worked, you can set this part up by editing your Personal Info by clicking on Edit in this section in the left or center menu. Then click Edit beside your name at the top of this section to begin the questions related to residency and states where you entered other income.
