Even tho in FL most of us do not file state taxes, Turbo Tax guided me to do it. After I researched the issue, I read that I couldn't delete the state taxes, I had to "finish the process, select paper mailing state taxes, and just not mail them since they can not be deleted" per a Turbo Tax agent on this website.
Now my dashboard on Turbo Tax says "FL State Printed" "Ready to mail".
My questions is, is it okay if I don't mail them, right? I just wanna be sure cuz once the time to file is over and there's a problem for me not mailing them I could get in trouble with the IRS.
Just wanna be sure that I followed the right protocol in this situation.
PS: I filed W2s and ride-share work, meaning I have a "business" but it's just ride-sharing.

Yes, it is fine if you do not mail the Florida return since it is a virtual certainty there is nothing on the return that needs to be reported unless you entered assets in the program (which you apparently did not).
