I have spent all day trying to pay the CA file fee for turbo tax. I keep getting unable to authorize - nothing wrong with address, credit card. 4 times I tried contacting Turbo Tax to no avail. I don't think they even know their own software. Sometimes, I felt if they couldn't resolve the problem, they just hang up on you. Twice they asked to share my screen but both times couldn't see the screen because there was private info on the computer screen but instead of starting over and just saying to change screens, they just stopped sharing the screen. On hold for a total of 2 hours with all three calls. Last call, the lady (can't speak English so very hard to understand her) , fumbled around, told me things I knew it wasn't. I had the feeling she was reading blogs or googling what to do, because she sure didn't know what she was doing. On hold for 20 minutes with her, then when she couldn't figure it out, said she would transfer me to someone else but she would stay with me. I was on hold for 54 minutes with music (and the lady who said would stay with me did not) and then I hung up. Turbo tax support is useless. They have no idea what they are doing, and you can't understand half of them. Meanwhile, day is over and still unable to file my state taxes because won't accept the filing fee. will probably file paper return grrr
Oh brings me to another point, twice two separate assistants asked me if my returns were rejected. How could they be rejected if I was unable to file them. Would they as turbotax employees not know this. Been using turbotax for 30 years, never had this kind of problem before.
