Moved to CO from CA in 2020.

Paid high CA tax on income early in 2020 before moving to CO.

CO has much lower state income tax thus want to file as resident in CO for 2020 yet based on total year income I am due a big refund from CA.

How can I access the CA refund?

thx u

For tax year 2020 you will file as a part-year resident of each of the two states, and allocate your income accordingly.

See this TT help reference:  How do I file if I moved to a different state last... (intuit.com)

If your tax withholding (and estimated payments, if any) for CA exceed your CA taxes due, you will be refunded.
