did anyone get this error, and just reviewed fed/state again and just resubmit it? If so, did it finally get accepted or is it still pending?
@KalRod04 Got error message yesterday. Reviewed, didn't change anything. Refiled yesterday, rejected again today.
@Jetfan Lovely, just flippin lovely. Thanks for responding. Guess I’ll have to wait for the second reject and try what the other people are saying about deleting and re-doing it.
TurboTax, I told myself last year I would not use y’all again due to issues that I’m still dealing with the state because of a rejection code. But yet I decided to try again and yet y’all fail me again…
Unfortunately if your just resubmitting the same thing it’s going to get rejected. Go back through this thread and find my instructions how I got mine accepted. I’m not a tax expert but this work around allowed my state return to be accepted.
I did that after my first CA return rejection and it rejected after 24 hours for the 2nd time. I did what jme02100 recommended and refiled for the 3rd time 1 hour ago, still pending.
Same issue twice now. On both Feb 17 and Feb 18.
There are no Contributions on this return. It is a simple Fed and State return.
This is a software problem!!
Fed accepted in 30 minutes. State - still not accepted
Yes, my state has been rejected 3 times for this reason. I have spoken to two representatives and still have been unsuccessful. This was my first time using Turbotax and I'm sure it will be my last. I am very unsatisfied!
just got off phone with TurboTax, they are now telling everyone to 0 out the cares act charitable contribution and redo the review of state and then refile, we will see but others have reported success
@rasmussenb9 Lol good to know I was correct with my fix information, you’re welcome TurboTax I’ll be sending you an invoice for my work here 😂
@rasmussenb9 Did they say how to 0 out cares contribution?
@Jetfan Start from the beginning of your fed return until you get to the question where it asks about charitable contributions (it’s towards the end) put $0, delete old state taxes and hit start over to bring over the new info with the charitable contributions zero’ed then refile state taxes. This is what I did yesterday morning and it was accepted within 30 minutes.
The easiest way I know is to go to Federal Taxes, then Deductions and Credits, then I'll Choose, then Done with Deductions, then hit Continue about 4x and your there
If you have charitable contributions, entering $0 doesn't seem best option. While the system didn't prompt me to put where I did make donations, I had to manually go in and add that information. Then, the CA state return was fixed. DONT GIVE UP YOUR DONATIONS to accommodate the system.
@fpr07 It made zero difference in what was owed or to be refunded for me so that was the best option for me. If you donate a ton to charity and it makes a big difference then ya I’d agree don’t just zero it out, that’s not the case for most people.
I've already paid my turbotax fees, hence i cannot delete my state return. Any idea how to do this?
