"Total income on W-2" on NJ state return is incorrect?

I see you have the number highlighted in blue, are you not able to click BACKSPACE or DELETE?

If you are using a Desktop program, can you switch to FORMS mode?

If I do go to forms mode, where do I look?  Obviously, the NJ return is not pulling from the same place as the California return.

Are you able to look at the NJ 1040 line 15? Can you edit the number there?

Did you import either W-2? If so, you might try deleting it and entering it in manually.

Did you download TurboTax Desktop for 2020 Tax Year? Is that what you are working on?

"Total income on W-2" on NJ state return is incorrect?

Thank you for the screenshot.  My colleague @KrisD15 reached out to see if we could provide any additional assistance.  You stated earlier that this is for 2020.  Since this is the case, you will not be e-filiing your return anyways, so there is a simple workaround.  What has happened is this:  for part-year New Jersey returns, New Jersey programming requirements (which is mandated by the state), requires the W2s to show the state abbreviation code NJ (for New Jersey).  If that code is not on your W2, (or not input into the system on the W2 screen on the Federal Income section), it is probably why New Jersey is not picking up the income.

Here's what you'll do:  game the system.  You will need to add the NJ code on the W2, and do not worry that there is no state ID number.  You will be mailing in the return anyway, so it doesn't need to pass e-file diagnostics.  (If it did, you might need to ask the employer to re-issue the W2 to show the amount paid to New Jersey).  In addition, verify all copies of the W2 to make sure that the information was not included on another page.  (Sometimes payroll processors provide 2 or 3 pages of copies of W2s, and it can appear to show repeated information, but there is actually differences in the state/local information in boxes 15-20.)  Finally, in the state income box (Box 16), make sure you input the amount of income that should be reported to New Jersey on that W2.  Let us know if that gets your income carried over.

@msliming

it's way early in tax season and TurboTax is loaded with bugs.

IRS is not even open to take tax returns yet.

Try again in late February.

TurboTax will still have bugs (it had lots of problems last year) but maybe this one will be fixed.

This is for 2020 not 2021.

"Total income on W-2" on NJ state return is incorrect?

See my post above, @msliming.  You need to type a NJ line on the W2 in question.  You don't need to alter the W2 you've received.  This is only so that the New Jersey portion of the return picks up the income.  When you mail in the return, you will include the W2.  But keep proof of how much income you earned at that company that you must claim to New Jersey, in case New Jersey asks.

If you mean lines 15-17 where state income is entered, 'NJ' is on both W2's.  Let me know if there is somewhere else I need to enter it.  Thanks,  Maggie

Yes, that is what @DanielV01 is saying. As long as you have entered the NJ state code and the total NJ wages and withholding that's all you need to do.  The NJ return will pick up the wages that should be taxed to NJ from the W-2, by completing this step.
