I'm a long time TT user so this issue caught me by surprise this year. In the initial data entry, I had entered my estimated taxes, Federal and State. For both, I had made the 4th payment in Jan of this year. As I've done in other years, when reviewing the state tax return, I assumed what I had entered previously would transfer to the state form. Both federal and state were e-filed and accepted. A few weeks later I received a letter from my state Dept of Revenue indicating their records of estimated tax payments did not match what I had entered. I checked TT (the data entry section) and the information was correct. After reviewing the state tax form that was being generated, I noticed the estimated tax amount did not include the Jan 4th quarter payment. I've now overpaid my state taxes by the amount of my 4th quarter estimated tax payment. I'm guessing this is a new bug for TT as I've never experienced this before. Anyone else notice this odd action?

This would be best handled by following the instructions here to contact us by phone, so we can look over the return. We are unable to view your return here in this public forum.
Thanks CarissaM for your response. I'll not be calling support for the problem as I already have it identified and have a manual work-around. I just posted this in event others have this problem with their state estimated taxes being transferred incorrectly and causing a potential overpayment of taxes.
If you / support are unable to duplicate this problem, I'll be happy to help.
