Hi,
the background is I lived in CA for 5 months and had income in CA. Then, I moved to PA and worked there, so I had PA income. Since I moved in PA, there is no more income from CA. So, when I files in turbotax for PA state, the software checkmarked the box that say I earned income in other state and I needed to attached the W2. But when I create statement, there is no attachment option for W2, but just some boxes. So , my questios are
1. Do i need to attach the W2? If yes, which W2(from CA or PA).
2. How to attach the W2 or fill the information in Create statement option?
Thanks,

In this case, Attach means to enter the information from that W-2. Basically, enter all W-2s information on the return. You do not need to attach a W-2, normally.
Did you receive two W-2s, form CA and PA? If so you must enter both on the Federal return as received. Or did you continue to work for the same company after you moved and only received one W-2 with two states listed on W-2 in Box 15? It is also possible that you only have one W-2 from CA and all withholdings were from one state.
This is how you should file, based on your statement. You prepare the Federal return with all of the information. You should file a Part-Year return for CA and a Resident return for PA. It is important the order that you prepare the state returns. So prepare the CA Part Year return first and PA resident return after. This will allow the allocation of income to compute accurately.
Use this link as a guide for preparing your state returns.
Hi,
I worked for different companies, so I have 2 W2s and yes, I did the CA first. so, I just need to type in the box all the information (description and amount)from both W2, is that correct?
Yes that is correct. Enter the W-2 information on the Federal return exactly as shown on the W-2
