Ohio Tax Return

I paid $800.00 of Ohio estimated tax for tax year 2020 in March of 2020.  Does not show on my 2020 Ohio Tax Return. How can I get this credit on Ohio Tax Return ?

    You need to enter the estimated payment that you made into the tax return.

     

    If you made estimated tax payments in 2020 towards your federal, state, or local taxes, enter them in the Estimated and Other Income Taxes Paid section.

    1. With your return open, search for the term estimated tax payments.
    2. Select the Jump to link.
    3. Choose Start next to the type of estimated tax payment you'd like to enter.
    4. Enter the amount of estimated tax you paid at each of the quarterly due dates.

    what return do I open to enter the amount of estimated tax paid ?  The Federal Return  or the Ohio Tax return.

    You would go to the federal return and find the Estimated and Other Income Taxes Paid Section Link.  The estimated taxes for federal, state and local governments are all entered in the same section of the tax return.
