NYS - Accepted to Accepted being processed to Further review to being processed again (2021 YE)

Been using Turbo Tax for 11 years.

This year (Year end 2021) - We filed Fed & NYS on 3/8.  Both were accepted right away.  FED return was deposited into our account on 3/30.  NYS initially read "We have received your return and it is being processed. No further information is available at this time. See Understanding your refund status on our website." - within a week or 2 it switched to ""We received your return and may require further review." That messaged remained for about 8 weeks or so. 

NYS gave me the "your return requires further information" and that message lasted Mach, April, and May -- it JUST switched BACK to "We have received your return and it is being processed. No further information is available at this time. See Understanding your refund status on our website." -- NYS never asked me for any info or further clarifications.

Wondering how much longer this will continue & what else everyone has experienced time wise before getting refund.

My refund was then deposited into my account on 5/19 - after 2.5 months of waiting!

How much longer is unknown but what NY is doing this year is not uncommon.
