Notified I did not file state taxes for 2012. Are New Mexico and Michigan 2012 packages still available for download?

Received notice yesterday that I have until 12/30 to file with Michigan for 2012. Are the TurboTax 2012 state tax packages still available?

The 2012 income tax return programs are no longer available for download. The only prior year product currently offered by Intuit are 2013 - 2015. https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/

Your best approach for Michigan, probably New Mexico too, is to download the forms and prepare them by hand.

Thanks, Tom! Do you know if I purchase the 2012 install cd/package elsewhere, if the forms will still download?

I don't think so, though I don't really know for sure. The problem is that the CD is for the federal income tax return while the state programs that come free with the CD are downloaded from TurboTax and I'd think that those are no longer on the servers. Too, any CD you'd buy is an incomplete version of the program since it's expected that needed updates would be downloaded as updates are prepared throughout the tax season and TurboTax, as I understand it, only provides updates for the years that they are currently supporting.

Thanks again, Tom! Appreciate your input! (Just notified yesterday by MI I'm being audited for 2012 ... arghhh!!! <head exploding>) Time to start printing forms and put some erasers on the pencils!!! LOL
