I am a MN resident and my husband won 4015.00 gambling in NY. I cannot report only the gambling winnings by filing a non resident state return on the Turbo Tax site, as it pulls our W2 information and uses our total income. I am at a loss on how to fix this - there is no help topics on it. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks!!!!

You must file a Form IT-203, New York State Nonresident and Part-Year Resident tax return for the gambling winnings in New York. Any tax withheld by New York State for the gambling winnings would be applied against any tax owed in New York on Form IT-203.
In the Personal Info section of your Turbo Tax program, make sure to indicate you made money in a state other than your resident state.
Also, to avoid paying taxes on the same income twice, make sure you prepare your Nonresident New York State Return first.
You will get a credit for taxes paid in New York on your Minnesota State Tax Return..
