NJ state tax return requires a county code (for residents only though). I am filing as part time resident and am not current resident. What value do I put here?

I had a similar question, here is the response I received:

Basically, leave your current (non-NJ resident) address in the form, but fill in the county code from when you were an NJ resident. For example, if you moved from Morristown, NJ to CA, your CA address is the one that gets filled in, but for the county code put in Morristown's.

Link for NJ municipal/county codes is here: https://www.state.nj.us/treasury/taxation/pdf/lpt/cntycode.pdf

I hope this helps you too!

It depends.

The codes vary based upon your county of residence.  Please refer to avera1209's post above for the codes available based upon your county of residence.
