Hello,
I have been a Turbo Tax user for the last 12 years and have never had any trouble filing. Now I am trying to e-file my NJ State Taxes but I am unable to as I get the following message after trying to continue:
Reason for e-file ineligibility:
Returns with Pass-Through Business Alternative Income Tax Credit are not eligible for electronic filing.
Anybody else e-filing in NJ and getting the same error? Seems like it's a back-end programming bug as I am not a Business Owner, nor have Alternative Income tax credits. Hope they fix this soon.

I think it's a bug in their system because there's a lot of NJ filers getting this message coming up. I'm holding off filing until it's fixed.
I'm having the same problem.
Is there an ETA as to when this will be fixed?
Just got off the phone with support and they claim it will be fixed today.
OMG…. Thank you I have the same issue and wasted my entire day trying to figure this out.
my son and I just got off the phone with TT. my guy told me its a known error by TT with no definitive timeframe to fix. Recommended file by main if need to. My sons guy seemed not to know about this and just recommended file by mail.
This does not help me because I must file 2 states. My resident state requires a NJ return be attached so I dont think I can file 1 electronically and 1 manually. The guy I spoke to said that since its so early, he suggested just waiting to see if it will be fixed. They really dont know much about this.
This is a known issue caused by an update to the New Jersey forms that were just released. It is being worked on and you should keep checking back to see if it is fixed.
