NC state e-filing problem

I have everything set to file federal, CA and NC taxes.  My wife was a full-year resident and employed in CA; I was a full year resident and employed in NC.  When I try to file for NC, I received two related correction-needed messages (screen snaps are at end of this message):

1. Credit to Tax Paid to Another State (Untitled): Taxable income earned in other state subject to NC tax should be blank.  Nonresidents of NC do not qualify for this credit.

2. Credit for Tax Paid to Another State (Untitled): Tax paid to other state should be blank.  Nonresidents of NC do not qualify for this credit.

The entries to both are blank, which is what the messages say they should be.  I've also tried entering 0. In either case, I continue to get the same messages and to be blocked from e-filing my NC taxes (which I've already paid to do).

I've successfully e-filed my U.S. and CA taxes.  This appears to be a bug in the NC (Mac) problem.  Please advise.

NC state e-filing problem

DId you file a joint return? If so, then NC should be giving credit for the CA wages. If you were filing separately, then there should not be an issue.

Please review your CA return to see that CA only wages are taxed and same for NC. If there is any overlap, a credit should be given.

The program feels you need this form based on something entered. If not needed, you can delete the credit for other states and review your entries. See How to Delete .
